To Install and Run Ad-aware SE Personal Edition:

Click on the link below to go to Lavasoft Adaware Download Page: Lavasoft Download Page
Scroll down until you see "Mirror Sites" and click on the Download.com link. This is to ensure the latest version of Adaware is installed on your computer.
Click the "Download Now" at the top of Download.com's website, right below the "Adaware SE Personal Edition 1.x".
When the first dialog pops up, click "Save" and then in the second dialog box, select "Desktop" and hit the "Save" button again:
Once your download is finished, double click on "aawsepersonal.exe" on your desktop and setup will start. If the "Open File - Security Warning" popup box comes up, please click Run.
When the Welcome Screen comes up, hit "Next", view the agreement, check the "I accept the license agreement", and hit "Next" again.
In the Destination Location screen, leave everything as is and just hit "Next" and do the same two more times.
Install will then begin automatically. When finished, please uncheck the "Open the help file now" and then click "Finish".
It should automatically launch the program along with a popup box. Please click "OK" and then on the next screen, hit "Connect".
If a popup box comes up saying there is a new update, please click "OK" and once that is done, please click "Finish".
It should automatically start scanning:
When the scanning finishes, the screen will change to a screen like below and if any spyware is detected, right click on one of them and hit "Select All Objects":
Once everything is selected (if any), please click on "Next".
You will be taken back to the main Ad-aware screen and you can click "X" at the top right to quit Ad-aware.
You are DONE! You should run Ad-aware (Running Updates and Checking for Problems) every two weeks or so to lower the number of pop-ups and keep your computer running at an optimal speed.
