Changing Passwords in Novell, Windows, Groupwise, and Blackboard

Note: Changing your Novell password will change the password you use to access computers belonging to the Washington and Lee computer labs. Changing your Windows password will change the password for your personal computer.

To change any of the following passwords, you have to be logged in to a computer (Novell, Windows, Groupwise) or the service (Blackboard).

Changing Your Novell and Windows Passwords

1. Press and hold down CRTL + ALT + DEL (control + alt + delete keys) once, you will see the following window:
2. Click on the "Change Password" button. You will be given the following screen:
3. Highlight both the computer and tree icon
4. Enter your old password, your new password, and a confirmation of the new password.
5. Click "OK".

Changing Your GroupWise Password

Your GroupWise password is automatically the same as your Novell password. W&L users cannot change the GroupWise password independently from the Novell password.

Changing Your Blackboard Password

1. In Blackboard, click on "Personal Information" in the Tools menu.
   
   
   
2. Click on "Change Password".
   
   
   
3. Enter your new password in and a confirmation of the new password. Click "Submit".
